My favorite aspect of creating a stained glass panel beside seein gthe finished pece in a window is matching colors and textures of glass specifically for the piece being created. One pattern or design can be created in many different ways, which suggest that every panel will always be an original piece of highly crafted and designed glass art.
I started producing stained glass panels and sold them in high end galleries in ALaska, including some tourist type shops for my sun catchers. During several exhibits and shows, I have won 2 Division Championships, and multiple other awards for my stained glass designs and craftsmanship.
In 2001 I moved to Washington State and started crafting my stained glass panels in my shop, unfortunately some of my older designs were inadvertently thrown out by a friend. By the time I found out it was too late... I have been rebuilding old patterns and designing new ones which I am very excited about.
This web site was also designed and developed by me, I am not a professional web designer so hopefully you'll not run into any issues navigating. I decided on the name Safari Stained Glass Studio because one; the wildlife and landscape aspect, but also, when I was little and being teased in school it was "Mari Safari had a Birthday Party", who knows why...
